An area whose geological and environmental heritage is protected by UNESCO. This prestigious award is presented the territory of Beigua, the largest protected area of Liguria. A spectacular balcony of mountains that overlook the sea twenty-six kilometers of mountain ridges around the corner from the Riviera Ligure characterized by the presence of the Wolf, Eagle real and the Biancone, endemic of wonderful blooms of valuable grasslands and wetlands, dense forests of beech, oak, chestnut and Mediterranean vegetation flaps. The area of Beigua also preserves sites of outstanding cultural, historical and monumental interest: the Abbey of Tiglieto of 1120, the Medieval Castle Campo Ligure, Forte Geremia Masone, the rock carvings and the many interesting museums that tell the identity of this portion of Liguria.
